Job Summary
We are looking for motivated candidates to join our Learner Artisan Millwright Apprenticeship. The programme gives you hands‑on training to become a qualified Millwright, accredited by SETA (QCTO) and the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB). You will learn plant maintenance, mechanical systems and industrial operations while building skills for a long‑term career in mining and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop competence in plant, mine and equipment maintenance.
- Learn and use maintenance documentation and planning systems.
- Gain process knowledge specific to Sasol operations.
- Follow safety and emergency procedures, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Participate in daily team meetings, toolbox talks and performance appraisals.
- Support plant stability, sustainability and maintenance strategy.
- Assist in root cause analyses and provide feedback to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain good housekeeping and comply with waste disposal procedures.
- Lead small team efforts and help develop colleagues’ skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completed Matric / N3 or equivalent with passes in Maths, Science and English.
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
