Requirements

• Minimum NQF Level 4 or Grade 12 qualification
• Proficiency in English and at least one indigenous language
• Preferred languages in the Eastern Cape: Xhosa, Afrikaans, Sotho, and sign language
• For Ermelo posts: IsiXhosa or IsiZulu
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage

Primary Duties

• Interpretation in Criminal, Civil, Labour, and quasi‑judicial proceedings
• Interpretation during consultations
• Translation of legal documents and exhibits
• Recording cases in the criminal record book
• Preparing case records for Magistrates and Prosecutors
• Maintaining statistical records
