Job Purpose
The Driver’s Aide will support heavy vehicle drivers and construction plant operators at Rand Water’s Central Depot / Bulk Distribution site. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant movement of equipment and vehicles while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and yard operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3 qualification
- Valid driver’s licence (Code 10 or Code 14)
- At least 1 year of experience in a transport, logistics, or industrial environment
- Ability to work outdoors in an operational, physically active setting
Preference may be given to female candidates in line with Rand Water’s Employment Equity objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, offload, and transport equipment
- Assist drivers with daily operational tasks
- Clean and maintain vehicles
- Keep the yard and depot tidy and organised
- Support general operational duties as required

- Basic rigging and slinging practices
- Occupational health and safety procedures
- Securing and tying down equipment
