Primary Purpose of the Job
Manage the goods receiving area, enforce security measures at the loading dock, and control stock for facilities and catering.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists for cleaning division deliveries.
- Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items (cleaning materials).
- Organise and store received items in appropriate areas.
- Update inventory records with received items.
- Communicate with vendors about delays or problems.
- Inspect deliveries to ensure they match delivery notes (closed parcels only).
- Receive and sign for deliveries.
- Oversee unloading of deliveries from trucks.
- Maintain records of orders, delivery details, and disbursement logs.
- Control stock levels and manage stock sheets.
- Dispense cleaning consumables to cleaning staff.
- Issue stock from basement storerooms for the catering department.
- Update the Facilities Manager on stock levels and costings of all cleaning materials.
- Update the Catering Manager on stock levels.
Qualifications
Matric (high school diploma).
Experience
Two to five years’ experience in a similar role.
Requirements
- Fluent in English – verbal and written.
- Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
