About the role

We are looking for an intern to support our Nutrition Plant Engineering (NPE) division. The role involves coordinating between Service Sales and Service Execution teams, managing leads and opportunities in the CRM, preparing quotes in Excel, maintaining master data in I‑base, and providing general administrative support to improve speed, quality, and customer responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Opportunity Support (CRM) – Capture, qualify, and load new leads; keep the pipeline clean; support handover between teams; run standard reports; schedule and log customer touchpoints.
  • Quotation and Commercial Support (Excel) – Prepare quote packs using approved templates; consolidate technical inputs; support approvals; maintain a quote tracker; ensure proper documentation and version control.
  • I‑base and Master Data Administration – Validate and update installed base information; link data to CRM; clean duplicates and standardise naming.
  • Cross‑functional Coordination – Liaise daily with Service Sales, Service Execution, Planning, Parts, Finance, and Supply Chain; request and consolidate supplier quotations; coordinate internal meetings.
  • Customer and Admin Support – Assist with customer communication, manage shared inbox items, prepare simple customer‑ready documents, keep folders and trackers up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify repetitive tasks and suggest improvements; support process documentation; contribute to data quality and reporting.

Success Measures

  • Accurate and complete CRM data.
  • Faster quote turnaround through disciplined tracking.
  • Clean, reliable installed base linked to CRM.
  • Clear weekly pipeline and quote status reports.
  • Professional admin support that reduces workload for sales and execution teams.

Qualifications

  • Completed Grade 12.
  • Diploma or Degree (completed or in progress) in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, Word (PowerPoint a plus).
  • Comfortable with CRM systems (any exposure is a plus).
  • Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Proactive, improvement‑mindset, and willing to learn technical/service concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and good admin discipline.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
