The Opportunity
As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will join our South Africa fire team and work on a wide range of projects—from new building designs to fire safety strategies for existing assets. Projects span across South Africa, Africa, and worldwide, covering building design, transport infrastructure, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in designing fire safety systems for new and existing buildings.
- Support senior engineers in developing fire engineering solutions.
- Use 3D design and digital tools to create and review fire safety plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects of varying size and location.
- Contribute to the development of fire safety strategies and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in fire engineering, civil/structural engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of fire engineering principles and building services.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software.
- Enthusiasm for a career in fire and life safety.
- Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
- Creative and curious, always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Valid permission to work and live in South Africa (citizenship or permanent residency).
