About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and support the finance department with reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and weekly journal entries.
- Reconcile and review stock accounts from valuation to general ledger.
- Ensure all clearing accounts balance and are cleared.
- Check subsidiary ledger batches before posting.
- Verify that administrative documents are captured correctly in the system.
- Resolve queries within the agreed departmental/business unit SLAs.
- Communicate with suppliers and regional teams by phone and email regarding query resolution.
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects as required.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss reports.
- Analyse monthly variances and general ledger accounts.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management.
- At least 3 years of analytical experience.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Reliable car and valid driver’s licence.
Behavioural Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong telephone etiquette.
- Excellent reconciliation skills.
- Computer literate – Excel essential.
