Position Overview
We are looking for an Operations Assistant to support manufacturing and production processes. The role involves forklift operation, warehouse tasks, and various production duties while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely.
- Assist with formulation of products.
- Support day‑to‑day manufacturing plant operations.
- Weigh materials accurately.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Fill products according to batch sheets.
- Track raw material store activities.
- Handle waste and effluent processes.
- Wear required PPE as specified in product batch sheets and RAIMS.
- Follow all company procedures, including safety, manufacturing, site, and quality control regulations.
- Report any safety incidents, near misses, or abnormal observations to the Team Leader promptly.
- Work flexible hours, including possible overtime and rotational 12‑hour shifts.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- 4–6 months of experience in the chemical industry.
- Forklift licence.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Strong discipline, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality procedures.
