Truworths is inviting applications for its 2026 Stores Learnership Programme for Persons Living with Disabilities. This programme offers practical retail work experience in a supportive, inclusive environment across South Africa.
About the Learnership
The learnership is a workplace‑based training programme that allows participants to be cross‑trained in different areas of a retail store. Learners will work on the sales floor, at the service desk, and in other store functions, gaining a broad understanding of retail operations.
Throughout the programme, participants will complete logbooks, prepare for assessments, and apply what they learn in a real working environment. The focus is on building confidence, independence, and practical job skills.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work a minimum of 120 hours as part of the learnership programme
- Learn and apply retail knowledge through structured training
- Complete logbooks and prepare for required assessments
- Assist customers with finding merchandise and product information
- Merchandise the store according to Truworths MBP principles
- Process payments and purchases using the POS system
- Open new customer accounts in line with company procedures
- Assist with stock control and reduce stock losses
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Maintain customer safety, security, and store standards

Minimum requirements:
- Grade 10 qualification
- Interest in fashion and retail
- Commitment to learning and completing assessments
