Job Description

The successful candidate will handle parts counter sales transactions accurately and promptly, following established procedures. Responsibilities include both in‑store and telephone sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous service to all customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions and record them in the stock control system.
  • Identify customer needs using product catalogues and computer stock lists.
  • Apply discount structures as per company policy.
  • Assist staff with parts identification and replacements.
  • Help train new parts personnel.
  • Ensure all paperwork and requisitions are properly documented.
  • Authorize credit sales only to approved signatories.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date parts catalogues and manufacturer lists.
  • Report stock movements and discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and their representatives.
  • Support marketing activities, including cold calling, visiting customers, opening new accounts, and retaining existing ones.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policy and secure all payments.
  • Achieve the highest level of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
  • Provide accurate estimates and upsell to workshop customers.
  • Carry out any reasonable instructions from management.

Qualifications

  • Matric (high school diploma) or higher certificates and/or advanced national vocational certificates.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a parts sales executive with a proven track record.
