Job Description
Renault Multifranchise (Renault Fourways) is looking for an Apprentice Level 1 to join our service team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Service Manager and a senior Technician, gaining hands‑on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with cars and wants to become a qualified Motor Mechanic Technician through a structured apprenticeship program that can last up to three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the repair of vehicles under the supervision of a Technician.
- Remove and replace parts and units on vehicles.
- Jack up vehicles and secure them on trestles.
- Lubricate and change oils according to the service manual.
- Remove and fit wheels, air filters, and oil filters.
- Assist with battery removal and installation.
- Clean parts and maintain a tidy work area.
- Attend scheduled technical courses and training sessions.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
- Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working order.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Grade 12 with Pure Maths and Physical Science.
- Preference for candidates with a Technical Matric.
- Valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
- Clear criminal record.
- Basic technical skills are a plus.
- Good customer orientation and teamwork abilities.
