Job Description
The Food Service Assistant will support all aspects of food production and front‑of‑house service, ensuring compliance with health, safety and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Assist with front‑of‑house duties such as greeting guests, taking orders and serving food.
- Support back‑of‑house operations, including cleaning, inventory checks and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company with professionalism.
Education & Experience
- Matric (high school diploma) – required.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry – essential.
- Customer service experience – an advantage.
- Food and Beverage or Culinary Arts qualification – an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Basic food preparation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to personal appearance and hygiene.
