Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities. Duties include:
- Cleaning offices, storerooms, hallways, elevators, and boardrooms.
- Dusting furniture, removing waste, and providing water during meetings.
- Refilling water coolers and ensuring restrooms are stocked with supplies.
- Washing walls, windows, and general kitchen utensils.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Scrubbing toilets and polishing office floors.
- Operating vacuum cleaners and other cleaning machinery.
- Safely storing and maintaining cleaning materials.
Requirements
- A Grade 10 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (must be able to read and write).
- The ability to perform manual labor.
Professional Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and how to use cleaning equipment.
- A commitment to the “Batho Pele” principles of excellent customer service.
- The ability to work well in a team and handle pressure.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety measures.
