Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and professional environment. Primary duties include:

  • Cleaning offices, storerooms, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
  • Dusting furniture and removing waste.
  • Providing water and refilling aqua coolers, especially during meetings.
  • Washing walls, windows, and general kitchen utensils.
  • Cleaning and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Scrubbing toilets and polishing office floors.
  • Vacuuming carpets and ensuring toilet paper is replenished.
  • Properly storing and maintaining all cleaning materials.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Grade 10 certificate or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read and write).
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and the operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety measures and general working procedures.
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles (customer service excellence).
