Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Minimum of AET Level 4 (Grade 9) or a Grade 12 certificate.
• Experience: At least six months of relevant cleaning experience.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a positive attitude when working with others.
• Personal Attributes: Honest, reliable, and able to work well under pressure.
• Physical Fitness: Must be able to handle the physical demands of cleaning work.
• Availability: Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cleaner, your duties will include:

• General Cleaning: Cleaning interior and exterior areas, including offices, consulting rooms, corridors, waiting areas, bathrooms, and showers.
• Surface Maintenance: Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors. High-level dusting of walls and ceilings.
• Equipment & Facilities: Washing windows, stairs, lifts, and cupboards. Cleaning medical equipment, microwaves, and refrigerators.
• Waste Management: Removing general and medical waste safely according to health and safety guidelines.
• Special Duties: Assisting with laundry, cleaning up spillages, and disinfecting surfaces to prevent the spread of infections.
• Patient Support: Serving meals and washing kitchen utensils as required.
