Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified professional to lead our public policy analysis, monitoring, and evaluation services. In this role, you will provide high-quality insights that help strengthen legislative decision-making and improve government oversight processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed policy research and analysis.
- Providing expert advice on public policy.
- Starting and managing new research projects.
- Coordinating and managing core business forums.
- Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of public policies.
- Managing daily operations, budgets, and financial reporting.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- An Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF level 8) in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy Analysis, Behavioural Sciences, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree (this will be an added advantage).
- At least 5 years of professional experience in public policy analysis or monitoring and evaluation.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of the legislative sector and its processes.
- Expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and statistics.
- Ability to develop research briefs within a legislative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Advanced M365).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong financial management and organizational skills.
Behavioural Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- High level of diplomacy, tact, and political acumen.
- Emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
