Job Title: Learnership 18.2 Diesel Mechanic
Sibanye-Stillwater is a leading international mining and metals processing group. We operate across five continents and are one of the world’s largest primary producers of platinum, palladium, and gold. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Diesel Mechanic Learnership program in Rustenburg.
Role Overview
This learnership is designed to provide practical training and theoretical knowledge to help you become a qualified Diesel Mechanic. You will work within our engineering department, focusing on safety, technical excellence, and professional development.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this program, you must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- N2 Certificate: Must include Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory, and Engineering Drawings.
- NCV Level 4: National Certificate Vocational in Engineering and Related Design with at least 40% in all subjects.
- Grade 12: Must include Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Graphic Design (Drawings), and a relevant Trade Theory with at least 40% in all subjects.
Additional Requirements
- Must be declared medically fit for the specific work environment.
- Must have a clear security screening record.
- A valid driver’s license is required (where applicable).
- Previous experience in an engineering environment is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Training: Complete all modules of the development program within the required timeframe and understand all learning objectives.
- Safety (SHE): Adhere to all legal and safety standards. Use required safety equipment and participate in risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to supervisors and communicate any obstacles or ideas for improvement.
- Teamwork: Build positive relationships with colleagues and support team members in completing daily tasks.
