Job Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and testing of mechanical plant and equipment across various department installations. Your work will ensure that essential machinery remains functional and safe.
Key Requirements
- Qualification: You must be a Trade Tested Artisan, specifically as a Fitter and Turner or a Millwright.
- Education: A Matric certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience is essential. Candidates with 4 or more years of experience are preferred.
- Driver’s License: A valid motor vehicle driving license is mandatory.
- Safety Certification: You should hold valid Basic First Aid and Basic Safety certificates. If you do not have these, you must be willing to complete the training within 6 to 12 months of being appointed.
