Position: Artisan Aide (Mechanical)
We are looking for a dedicated Artisan Aide to join our mechanical team. In this role, you will report to the Assistant Mechanical Foreman. Your main responsibility will be to support our Artisans in the maintenance, repair, and assembly of various machinery and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- At least 6 months of practical experience working in a mechanical workshop.
- A valid Code B driver’s license and the ability to pass the company’s internal driving evaluation.
- Completed safety training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help Artisans select the correct tools and clean machine parts.
- Support the repair and assembly of various types of machinery.
- Assist in stripping down equipment and cleaning components according to technical instructions.
- Maintain general housekeeping by keeping workshop machinery, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
Knowledge and Skills
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Adaptability in various maintenance tasks.
- A high standard of cleanliness and organization.
