Helderberg Personnel is recruiting for a professional Driver to join a well-established client in the boating and marine industry. This role is based in the Western Cape and requires a reliable individual dedicated to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

As a Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of boats and equipment. Your duties will include:

  • Operating Code 10 and Code 14 vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Transporting, loading, and securing boats for transit.
  • Driving and reversing skillfully with a trailer attached.
  • Performing regular checks to ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
  • Accurately completing logbooks, trip sheets, and all delivery documentation.
  • Following scheduled routes and meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Strictly adhering to road traffic laws and company safety protocols.
  • Representing the company professionally when interacting with clients.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A valid South African Driver’s Licence (Code 10 or 14).
  • A valid Code EB endorsement (required for towing).
  • A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving heavy vehicles.
  • Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Physical fitness to assist with loading duties when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and every second Saturday.

Working Conditions
