Job Title: Salesman Driver
Company Overview:
Premier is a long-standing company with a rich history dating back to 1820. Over the years, we have grown from a traditional milling and baking business into a diverse FMCG leader. We are currently looking for a motivated Salesman Driver to join our team in Gauteng.
Role Purpose:
The Salesman Driver plays a key role in growing our bakery sales. You will be responsible for making sure products are delivered to customers on time and in full, collecting payments, and managing sales assets on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure excellent service delivery by meeting all customer requirements.
- Drive sales growth within the bakery division.
- Handle the collection of payments accurately.
- Manage bakery sales assets effectively.
- Maintain on-time delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- License: Valid Code 10 (C1) Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). The license must be at least 3 years old.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales or retail environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with traders.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to speak to people at all levels.
- Basic people management skills.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and driven to reach sales targets.
- Strong verbal and numerical skills, combined with a professional and assertive attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced, pressurized environment.
- This is a 6-day-a-week position.
- Candidates must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as required.
- Flexibility to work in different areas based on business needs.
