Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within the trauma unit. Your main duties include:
- Practicing nursing according to the official scope of practice for Registered Nurses.
- Following all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Leading and supervising junior staff members within the unit.
- Providing direct care to patients and monitoring their progress.
- Addressing and resolving patient concerns or complaints professionally.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
- At least two years of experience working in a Trauma unit (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with doctors, patients, and colleagues.
- Willingness to work shifts, including days and nights.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with MS Word and Excel.
