Job Overview
This internship offers an opportunity to gain valuable professional exposure while supporting the administrative functions of the municipality’s community halls. The successful candidate will assist with daily operations and learn the fundamentals of public administration in a local government setting.
Requirements
- Education: A Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4), or a National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration or Management (NQF Level 6 or 7).
- Age: Applicants must be 35 years old or younger.
- Eligibility: Must not have previously participated in any internship programme.
Key Responsibilities and Physical Demands
The intern will provide essential support to the Community Halls Section. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with administrative tasks and documentation.
- Performing operational duties that require physical activity, such as walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Handling and moving materials, which may include carrying books and pushing trolleys.
