Accounts Receivable Officer

The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) is a regulatory body established to oversee the conduct of parties within community schemes and ensure good governance. We are looking for a professional and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team in Centurion.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Accurately allocate payments and prepare regular financial reports.
  • Address and resolve customer requests, queries, and disputes professionally.
  • Process customer invoices accurately and on time to ensure high-quality billing.
  • Print and distribute invoices and other relevant documentation to customers.
  • Implement and follow internal policies and procedures to ensure full compliance.
  • Administer and maintain accurate customer records and work authorizations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • A Diploma (NQF 5) or Degree (NQF 6) in Accounting or Financial Management.
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP).
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the PFMA and Treasury regulations.
  • Experience in implementing internal controls and working with business system processes.
  • The ability to make informed decisions and provide excellent customer service.
