Role Purpose
As a Pharmacist Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering professional pharmaceutical care within your scope of practice. Your role involves supporting the daily operations of the dispensary and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service and patient care.
- Manage stock efficiently, including the accurate repacking of medicine.
- Handle dispensary administration and accurate compounding.
- Offer general health and product advice to customers.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display in the pharmacy.
- Support the pharmacy team with ad hoc operational requirements as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric with Mathematics (Essential).
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong product knowledge (OTC and Health aisle).
- Deep understanding of SAPC regulations and relevant legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT Business Operating Systems and MS Office.
- Strong numerical skills for basic calculations.
