Job Purpose
As a Data Analyst II, your role is to provide expert advice and support for operational planning. You will gather, analyze, and evaluate data to generate reports that help management make informed decisions. Your work will directly contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will be divided into several key areas:
Process and Data Management
- Improve data validation processes across service delivery systems.
- Collect and analyze information to provide reports for national forums.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of all collected data and resolve any issues promptly.
- Identify trends and potential risks by applying technical knowledge to data sets.
- Diagnose problems and suggest effective solutions to improve workflow.
- Implement process changes and provide guidance on new requirements.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all work follows organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Report any discrepancies or deviations from standard procedures.
Collaboration and People
- Build strong working relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and stay updated on industry trends through continuous learning.
Client Service and Finance
- Provide specialist advice to internal and external clients.
- Maintain a culture of service excellence.
- Follow financial procedures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Option 1: A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Financial Systems, Computer Auditing, Computer Science, or Taxation, plus 5 to 7 years of experience in audit or investigations (with at least 2 years at a technical level).
- Option 2: A Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 10 years of experience in audit, investigations, or a related field (with at least 2 years at a technical level).
