The Role

As the Business Area Lead for the Large Business & International (LBI) Sector, you will develop tactical strategies and delivery plans to ensure effective revenue collection and tax compliance. You will lead teams to close the tax gap and maintain high compliance standards within specific sectors.

Experience in sectors such as State-Owned Companies, Construction, Communication, or multifaceted industries is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Create and implement revenue plans for the sector to meet business objectives.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor multi-disciplined teams to deliver professional service and high performance.
  • Operations: Direct risk assessments and audits while optimizing internal processes and systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Governance & Risk: Ensure all activities follow official policies, managing risk and compliance effectively.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial efficiency within your department.

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Option 1: A B.Comm (Hons) in Taxation with 10–12 years of experience in managing corporate tax entities and revenue operations. At least 3–4 years must be at a management level.
  • Option 2: A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) with 12–15 years of related experience. At least 3–4 years must be at a management level.
