Role Overview
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team in Pinelands. In this role, you will be the face of our store, helping customers, processing payments, and ensuring the shop looks its best. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional service to all customers.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately at the point of sale.
- Scan items efficiently and assist with Clicks Clubcard rewards.
- Promote the Clicks Clubcard and help new members sign up.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special deals.
- Keep shelves stocked and ensure the store is clean and organized.
- Learn about our products to provide helpful information to customers.
- Work with the team to meet store goals and company values.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
- Skills: Basic math and computer literacy.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge: An understanding of retail, merchandising, and customer service is a plus.
- Attributes: Ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and stay calm under pressure.
