Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • A National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or Public Administration.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) will be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Management environment.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning and Coordination

  • Implement and monitor workforce plans that align with the department’s financial budget.
  • Analyze current and future staffing needs to identify gaps or surpluses in the workforce.
  • Maintain a clear profile of the current workforce, including demographics, skills, and retirement eligibility.

HR Analysis and Strategy

  • Forecast HR requirements based on organizational goals.
  • Research and recommend improvements for organizational capacity.
  • Develop action plans to bridge gaps between current staff availability and future needs.

Stakeholder Management and Business Transformation

  • Liaise with the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) regarding HR planning.
  • Compare internal processes with best practices from other institutions.
  • Streamline operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Verify the accuracy of PERSAL transactions and supporting documents.
  • Develop standards and systems to measure the quality of HR outputs.
  • Create management reports and statistics to support departmental governance.
