Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- A Basic R425 qualification (Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or an equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of healthcare policies, protocols, and guidelines.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse, your duties will include:
- Assessing patient needs and providing accurate nursing care.
- Maintaining detailed and up-to-date patient records.
- Administering medication and intravenous (IV) fluids as prescribed by doctors.
- Performing patient triaging and monitoring vital signs.
- Ensuring all daily tasks are completed as delegated.
- Contributing to quality improvement programs within the facility.
- Compiling and submitting accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Collaborating with other health workers to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Supervising and supporting junior staff members.
- Managing stock, medicine, and equipment efficiently.
