Job Opportunity: Educationist (M+4)
The South African Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is responsible for the administration and management of the country’s prison system. With a dedicated workforce of approximately 34,000 staff members, the department oversees 240 correctional facilities housing over 189,000 inmates. We are currently seeking a qualified Educationist to join our team in the Free State and Northern Cape regions.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- A recognized 4-year degree or equivalent qualification in Education.
- Valid registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
- Proficiency in computer use.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Implementing and managing educational programs tailored for offenders.
- Executing departmental educational policies within the correctional facility.
- Maintaining high educational standards in line with government department requirements.
- Assessing the effectiveness of education services provided.
- Ensuring service level standards are met for all training and education activities.
- Managing human resources, financial budgets, and department assets effectively.
