Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum qualification of Grade 9 (AET Level 4) up to Grade 12.
  • At least six months of relevant cleaning experience.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle the manual demands of the job.
  • A reliable, honest, and proactive work ethic.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and solve basic problems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Duties include:

  • Cleaning all interior and exterior areas, including offices, consulting rooms, bathrooms, and waiting areas.
  • Mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
  • Dusting high surfaces, washing windows, and cleaning stairs or lifts.
  • Cleaning medical equipment, cupboards, and kitchen appliances like microwaves and fridges.
  • Managing waste by removing general and medical refuse according to safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Assisting with laundry duties and cleaning up spillages immediately.
  • Helping to serve meals and washing kitchen utensils.
  • Disinfecting surfaces to ensure a sterile environment.
