Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Sustainability Intern. This is a full-time position based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role is ideal for those interested in data analysis, environmental science, and corporate responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support our sustainability initiatives by managing data and helping with impact reporting. Your main tasks will include:

  • Automating the collection of Greenhouse Gas emissions data from various sources.
  • Reviewing and verifying emissions data to ensure accuracy.
  • Assisting with the data collection for our annual Sustainability Impact Report.
  • Compiling Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports.
  • Managing digital dashboards used for sustainability tracking.
  • Developing AI tools to improve automation and reporting processes.
  • Providing administrative support for ongoing ESG projects.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

You should be currently studying toward or have recently completed an N6 qualification in one of the following fields:

  • Data Science or Data Engineering
  • Operations Research or Statistics
  • Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Sustainable Development

Skills and Experience:

  • A basic understanding of APIs, Google Big Query, and ESG impact reporting is a plus.
  • No formal work experience is required, but any previous internships, campus projects, or online certifications are beneficial.
