About the Role
The CEO provides strategic leadership and executive management for the museum. This role is responsible for ensuring the museum meets its national and international heritage mandates while remaining operationally sustainable. Reporting to the RIM Council, the CEO will lead the organization through a phase of growth, modernization, and strategic renewal.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership to uphold the museum’s status as a World Heritage Site.
- Ensure the organization follows all legal requirements and maintains high standards of governance.
- Improve organizational performance and build stakeholder confidence.
- Optimize resources and modernize internal systems to improve efficiency.
- Foster a high-performance culture and lead the organization through strategic changes.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Heritage, or Tourism.
- Experience: At least 10 years of senior executive leadership experience.
- Background: Proven experience working in complex, regulated environments across both the private and public sectors.
- Leadership: Strong skills in strategic planning, organizational management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Acumen: Excellent business knowledge with a results-oriented mindset.
