About the Role
KPMG is looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide professional tax advice and consulting services. You will focus on areas like mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and resolving tax disputes. You will also manage client relationships and lead junior team members to ensure we deliver high-quality work on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on complex corporate tax issues and solutions.
- Maintain strong, confidential relationships with clients and local tax authorities.
- Stay updated on local tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.
- Manage and mentor junior staff and professional teams.
- Oversee tax projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and billing.
- Prepare clear, detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the firm.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless service to clients.

Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in CA (SA), LLB, HDip (Tax), MCom (Tax), or B-Comm Honours.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a corporate tax environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in tax compliance, due diligence, and writing professional tax opinions.
