Wealth Adviser Assistant | East London

PSG is a leading independent financial services group with a strong national presence. We are currently looking for a professional Wealth Adviser Assistant to join our rapidly growing team in East London.

The Role

In this position, you will provide high-level administrative support to our Financial Advisers. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, processing transactions, and assisting with financial planning and advice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to grow within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Support

  • Create effective financial plans and risk management documents based on adviser strategies and client needs.
  • Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards and company policies.
  • Prepare “Statement of Advice” documents and client portfolio review reports.
  • Monitor investment strategies to ensure they meet client objectives.
  • Review client risk coverage and recommend necessary changes based on market movements or personal circumstances.

Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Act as a point of contact for client enquiries and solve issues efficiently.
  • Gather policy information and research various product options.
  • Prepare for client appointments and manage adviser diaries.
  • Handle new applications and provide accurate quotations.
  • Maintain and update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

Administration & Reporting

  • Provide general administrative support to the team.
  • Report on new business statistics.
  • Assist with team management tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: BCom in Finance, Investments, Financial Planning, or Economics. A Postgraduate degree or diploma is an advantage.
  • Professional Standing: Must have passed the Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5). Aspiring towards achieving a CFP designation is preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within the financial industry.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with CCM Book Management and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Language: Excellent English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Afrikaans or Xhosa is a plus.
