Manager: Environmental Health (Two Positions)
Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is looking for dedicated and experienced professionals to fill two Manager positions in Environmental Health. Located in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, these full-time roles are vital to maintaining the health and safety standards of our community.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A National Diploma or a B.Tech degree in Environmental Health.
- Current registration as an Environmental Health Practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Registration as a Peace Officer.
- A valid Code B driver’s license.
- At least eight years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of three years at a managerial level.
Key Skills and Attributes
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Clear communication skills in English and at least one other official local language.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and managerial abilities.
- The ability to plan, develop, and carry out public health policies and programs.
- Excellent skills in writing professional reports and delivering presentations.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
