Job Purpose
As the Manager of Compliance Risk for the Prominent Individuals and Restricted Entities (PIRE) segment, you will lead the planning and execution of risk-related activities. Your role is to ensure taxpayers follow regulations and to maximize tax revenue. You will achieve this by analyzing taxpayer data and recommending specific interventions to improve service delivery and voluntary compliance.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Accounting, Auditing, or Taxation.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in Taxpayer Risk profiling.
- Leadership: At least 3 to 4 years of experience at a Junior Management level.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Process Management
- Plan and manage projects across different business areas.
- Develop quarterly plans that align with the organization’s annual goals.
- Report on team outputs and create alternative plans if goals are not being met.
- Research and recommend solutions to complex business problems.
- Implement tactical strategies and operational activities to reach performance targets.
- Identify potential problems and implement best-practice solutions to prevent disruptions.
Governance and Risk
- Ensure all activities follow legal requirements and internal policies.
- Manage and reduce risk exposure within your area of accountability.
- Advise the business on how to apply policies correctly in professional settings.
People Leadership
- Build and maintain a high-performing team by providing training and support.
- Encourage a positive work culture and effective collaboration.
- Set clear performance goals and metrics for team members.
- Manage staff capacity and planning to ensure efficiency.
Financial Management
- Help develop and manage the divisional budget to control costs.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue collection.
- Monitor spending to ensure it stays within the approved budget.
Client Relations
- Promote a culture of excellent service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain service level agreements that support the SARS mandate.
