About the Role

Mr Price Group is looking for a vibrant, self-disciplined Assistant Store Manager to join the Miladys team in Tygervalley. In this role, you will lead daily operations, drive sales targets, and ensure our customers receive exceptional service. You will be responsible for helping the store run smoothly while maintaining high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Oversee the receiving and unpacking of stock to keep the sales floor replenished.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform regular counts to minimize loss.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Authorize administrative tasks such as stock write-offs, returns, and recalls.

Sales and Profitability

  • Analyze sales reports and collaborate with management to improve store performance.
  • Keep track of product performance and provide feedback to help increase revenue.
  • Identify new opportunities to build brand awareness and drive memberships or accounts.

Risk and Compliance

  • Conduct regular audits and admin checks to ensure the store follows all company policies.
  • Enforce health and safety standards as well as security procedures.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure the store is visually appealing and meets housekeeping standards.
  • Manage promotions, markdowns, and repricing accurately.
  • Respond to customer feedback and maintain high service levels.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve key performance goals.
  • Identify training needs and coach staff for career growth and succession planning.
  • Assist with recruitment and performance management in line with company policies.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager position.
  • Skills: Strong communication and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of retail trade, customer service, and fashion branding.
