Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have:
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Proof of registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse for 2026.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide clinical nursing care in accordance with the established scope of practice and nursing standards.
- Maintain high standards of care by participating in the National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals, including preparing necessary reports.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Promote a professional and respectful environment for patients of all backgrounds, following the Batho Pele principles.
- Organize and plan daily nursing duties and supervise support staff.
- Manage the resources allocated to the unit efficiently.
