Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A basic nursing qualification (Diploma or Degree in General Nursing) accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide clinical nursing care in line with official nursing standards and the scope of practice.
- Promote high-quality patient care and help implement National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Framework.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other medical staff.
- Write clear reports and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Work professionally and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Organize your workload and supervise support staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Advocate for patient needs and follow “Batho Pele” principles (putting people first).
- Manage the resources allocated to your unit efficiently.
