About the Position
The Mpumalanga Department of Health is looking for a dedicated Professional Nurse to join the team at Rob Ferreira Hospital. Our mission is to provide quality, people-centered healthcare to the community through a network of skilled and compassionate health workers.
Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical nursing care according to professional standards and the facility’s guidelines.
- Implement and maintain National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Write accurate reports and maintain detailed patient records.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Provide compassionate and respectful service to all patients, following the Batho-Pele principles (putting people first).
- Effectively manage resources and equipment within your assigned unit.
- Plan and organize daily tasks for yourself and support staff.
