Requirements

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A Basic qualification in General Nursing (Diploma or Degree) accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care in line with established nursing standards and the facility’s scope of practice.
• Promote and maintain high-quality care through the implementation of National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
• Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals, including preparing necessary reports.
• Work as a cooperative member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with patients and colleagues from diverse cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds.
• Organize and plan daily workloads for yourself and support staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Advocate for patient needs and uphold the “Batho Pele” principles (putting people first).
• Effectively manage the resources and equipment allocated to your unit.
