Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant (Contract)
Ares Holdings is a leading South African company that connects global brands with Southern African consumers. We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Sales Assistant for our Hey Dude store located in Gateway, KwaZulu-Natal.
Role Overview
In this contract position, you will represent a leading international footwear brand. You will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining high store standards.

- Experience: 1 year in customer service or retail
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet and assist every customer promptly and professionally.
- Identify customer needs and use product knowledge to recommend the best items.
- Work toward meeting daily sales targets and individual budgets.
- Handle transactions efficiently and encourage additional sales.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Restock footwear, clothing, and accessories from the storeroom daily.
- Assist with processing new deliveries, including tagging and pricing.
- Maintain store displays and ensure mannequins are updated regularly.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent loss and ensure accuracy in the system.
Daily Operations
- Keep the store clean and organized, including fitting rooms and counter areas.
- Assist management with opening and closing procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and monthly progress meetings.
What We Are Looking For
- A completed Grade 12 certificate.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of Crocs or similar footwear brands is an advantage.
- The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
