Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant at Birkenstock (Canal Walk)

Role Overview
As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand. Your goal is to provide exceptional service, maintain a beautiful store environment, and help our customers find the perfect footwear. This is a full-time position suited for someone who is passionate about retail and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Gently welcome every customer and provide friendly, expert assistance.
- Identify customer needs and use your product knowledge to recommend the right items.
- Work toward achieving daily sales targets and individual goals.
- Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits.
Store Operations & Inventory
- Keep the sales floor well-stocked by replenishing items from the storeroom daily.
- Help process new deliveries, including tagging, pricing, and organizing stock.
- Ensure the store remains clean and tidy, including fitting rooms and display areas.
- Assist management with opening and closing procedures.
- Prevent stock loss by staying alert and following store security policies.
Merchandising & Training
- Maintain high standards of visual display according to brand guidelines.
- Assist with updating window displays and mannequins.
- Take ownership of your professional growth by participating in regular training sessions and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer service environment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous knowledge of the Birkenstock brand is a plus.
