Key Responsibilities
As an HVAC Assistant, you will support the maintenance and repair of cooling and ventilation systems. Your main duties will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Performing reactive repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Foreman or Technician.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities follow the best operating practices.
- Maintaining accurate check sheets and reporting any material requirements.
- Keeping the workshop organized and assisting with various ad hoc tasks.
- Complying with all safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
- License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HVAC systems, refrigeration, Building Management Systems (BMS), and general building maintenance.
- Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions, plan your workday effectively, and deliver high-quality service.

- Capable of working under pressure and staying calm during emergencies.
