We are currently looking for a hands-on Assistant Cleaning Manager to join our team in the Western Cape.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Cleaning Manager, you will lead high-quality cleaning operations across several sites in George, Mossel Bay, and Plettenberg Bay. This role is perfect for a leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cleaning teams at specific sites, ensuring high performance and regular attendance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through reliable service.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and stock levels to ensure teams have what they need.
- Use labor management systems to plan and schedule staff shifts effectively.
- Handle HR matters, including staff discipline, grievances, and performance reviews.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure all quality and safety standards are met.
- Help retain client contracts by consistently delivering high-quality results.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of professional cleaning processes and hygiene standards.
- Ability to understand service level agreements (SLAs) and conduct site audits.
- Basic understanding of HR procedures and labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- A Degree, Diploma, or National Certificate in Retail, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in cleaning operations and supervising staff.
- Experience managing multiple sites is a distinct advantage.
