The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Cleaning Manager to join Tsebo Cleaning Services. In this role, you will lead high-quality cleaning operations across multiple sites in the Eastern Cape. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cleaning teams at assigned sites to ensure high performance and consistent attendance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent service.
• Monitor cleaning materials and stock levels to ensure supplies are always available.
• Use labor management systems to plan and schedule staff effectively.
• Handle HR matters, including staff discipline, grievances, and performance management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all quality standards and service agreements are met.
• Support the business in retaining contracts by keeping clients satisfied.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning processes and hygiene standards.
• Ability to interpret service level agreements (SLAs) and perform site audits.
• Basic understanding of HR procedures and labor legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Requirement: Matric / Grade 12.
• Tertiary qualification (Degree, Diploma, or Certificate) in Retail, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cleaning operations and supervising staff.
• Experience managing multiple sites is a distinct advantage.
