Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will help prepare and serve meals and drinks while providing excellent service to our customers. You will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality meals, fast foods, and sandwiches for our branded outlets.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas.
- Help with stock-takes and inventory management.
- Build positive relationships with customers by providing friendly and professional service.
- Ensure all food is prepared quickly and consistently to meet our quality standards.
- Follow loss prevention guidelines and assist with waste removal and washing up.
- Carry out other daily duties as needed to support the team.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate is required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a food service assistant is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service: A passion for helping people and providing a great experience.
- Pressure: The ability to stay calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
