Job Purpose
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing professional pharmaceutical care services within their scope of practice. This role involves managing daily dispensary administration and ensuring all tasks are performed according to the company’s Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of customer service and patient care.
- Manage efficient stock control, including the repacking of medicine and general administration.
- Ensure accurate dispensary administration and record-keeping.
- Perform accurate compounding of medications.
- Offer general health advice to customers.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display within the pharmacy.
- Assist with additional operational requirements as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics as a subject is essential.
- Registered as a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of OTC (Over-the-Counter) and health aisle products.
- Solid understanding of SAPC regulations and relevant legal requirements.
- A customer-focused approach to work.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- High level of integrity and ethical work practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mathematical calculation skills.
- Proficiency in IT business systems and MS Office.
